How to request emergency assistance using the Safeture app

In the Safeture app, there is an SOS button in case you experience an incident and need help. When you press the SOS button in the app, the emergency is immediately registered in the Web Portal. This alerts administrators, who can then take the necessary actions.

This guide provides instructions on how to use the SOS button to report an emergency.

  1. Click on the emergency button

Click the emergency button located in the middle of the bottom navigation bar to navigate to the emergency tab of the Safeture app.

The appearance of the emergency tab will vary based on your account settings and whether your organization has linked an assistance provider to the Safeture Platform. Below, you will find three different methods for alerting relevant individuals about your emergency situation.

Alarm assistance providers & administrators using the SOS button

The SOS button at the top of this page enables emergency mode when tapped. The Safeture Platform will simultaneously inform the Safeture Administrators and your security/medical providers (if integrated into the platform) about the emergency.

While in emergency mode, Safeture automatically sends your current location to your assistance provider for swift help.

You can use the SOS button to share your position and trigger emergency mode even if your mobile device lacks internet access. When you press the red SOS button, the system will open your SMS dialog after a five-second countdown, allowing you to send your position to the Safeture platform, alerting the admin(s).
