Joint Travel Bookings
Introduction to Joint Travel Bookings
Traveling in groups increases risk exposure. To help organizations better monitor and manage these risks, we’ve developed Joint Travel Bookings — a standard feature that automatically detects when multiple travelers are booked on the same flight.
With Joint Travel Bookings, you can configure custom thresholds to trigger alerts based on the number of travelers on the same itinerary. This allows you to tailor the sensitivity of risk detection to match your organization's travel risk policies.
You can also set a separate threshold for VIP travelers, making it easy to stay informed when key personnel are traveling together.
Enable Joint Travel Bookings
Joint Travel Bookings is available to all customers with travel booking functionality enabled. By default, the threshold for all travelers is set to 2 and is configured automatically. However, the threshold for Joint VIP travelers is not set up by default. Please contact our Client Development team for assistance in configuring your joint travel thresholds.
Joint Travel Threshold
The system detects a Joint Travel Booking when the number of travelers on the same itinerary meets the configured threshold. For instance, if the threshold is 10, any flight with 10 or more travelers will be flagged.
Example
Configured Thresholds:
Total travelers: 10
VIP travelers: 2
Examples:
9 people travel together:
➔ No Joint Travel detected (threshold not met)10 people travel together:
➔ Joint Travel detected (total threshold met)8 people + 1 VIP travel together:
➔ No Joint Travel detected (both total and VIP thresholds not met)10 people + 1 VIP travel together:
➔ Joint Travel detected (total threshold met)5 people + 3 VIPs travel together:
➔ Joint Travel detected (VIP threshold exceeded)5 VIPs travel together:
➔ Joint Travel detected (VIP threshold exceeded)
