Pre-trip emails

Before a trip, travelers can receive pre-trip information via email, which includes details such as:

  • Booking reference

  • Flight/train/rental car/hotel details (These are the segment types that trigger an email notification.)

  • Changes in the risk level at the traveler's destination

Email triggers

The email can be triggered through three processes:

When new bookings are processed by the platform

Emails may contain information about multiple PNRs, depending on:

  1. When the system processes the bookings.

  2. Whether similar information has been sent previously.

Changes in the destination’s risk level

If the risk level at a location changes, the platform can automatically send an alert email to travelers who:

  1. Haven’t yet started their trip.

    • Are currently in the affected area.

  2. Note: If there’s no change in the destination's risk level, no risk-related information will be included in the pre-trip email.

Based on scheduled time entries in the booking

The system may resend pre-trip emails as travelers' registered time entries (PNR data) approach, ensuring they receive updated information before each segment of the trip.

Blacklist Regions:
The platform can be configured to exclude certain regions from triggering pre-trip emails by defining a blacklist.

How to activate Pre-trip emails

This email automation is typically set up during the onboarding process for the Safeture Platform, but it can also be configured at a later time if needed.
